The History of Ol' Glory
Ol’ Glory was founded in 2004 by septuagenarian entrepreneur Don Sessions. Founder and CEO Don Sessions recognized the need for a better tasting, less expensive energy drink that would appeal to older adults as well as the youth audience targeted by other energy drinks. A recipe was developed for a delicious, energizing beverage; Ol’ Glory was born! Since competitive brands were all priced at over $2.00 per can, Don decided to sell Ol' Glory for less than 1/2 the price. Ol' Glory was on its way!
Don wanted the brand to be steeped in patriotism. The graphics were designed using red, white and blue, the American Bald Eagle, the American Flag and the Pledge of Allegiance with the words "Under God" emphasized. Ol' Glory was positioned as a product that reflects the pride and values that make the United States of America a great Nation.
